2018 Balanced Man Scholarship

Since 1990 the Balanced Man Scholarship (BMS) has recognized student leaders who challenge themselves every day to be a better student, a better leader and a better man. Those selected to be Balanced Man Scholarship finalists place significant value on the pursuit of obtaining both a sound mind and sound body in order to reach their greatest potential.

During the 2018-2019 academic year, SigEp will award over $225,000 at 200 campuses across the country through the BMS.  At NYU, we were honored to celebrate the following 2017 scholarship recipients:

$3000 - Benjamin Newhouse

$1000 - Andrew Tabatabaei

$500 - Brendan Wetmore

$500 - Min Jun Park

This winter, our chapter will award one $3000 first place scholarship and up to $2,000 in consolation scholarships to men who exemplify the Balanced Man ideal.  To qualify you must have a minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA, submit an application by November 25, 2018, and be enrolled, full-time, at New York University for the Spring 2019 term. Applicants have no obligation to join or affiliate with SigEp to be eligible for the scholarship.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Should you have any questions please Email our BMS Chairman.
